Direct Support Professional - Willimantic, CT (40 hrs/wk)

Direct Support Professional provides individualized support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, working with or without supervision in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include meal planning and preparation, leisure-time planning, medication administration, transportation, and documentation of care and incidents; maintain confidentiality and positive relationships with families and staff; accompany individuals to medical appointments; handle petty cash and follow agency policies; participate in training and required certifications, and respond to emergencies. Requires strong customer service, ability to work in a team, and a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent required; at least one year of experience preferred. Salary is based on an $18.46/hour wage equating to approximately $38,397 annually for a 40-hour workweek.
