Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional provides essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting health, safety, and overall well-being. Responsibilities include preparing daily routines, assisting with personal care, preparing meals, facilitating social interaction, and reporting incidents. Candidates should have at least one year of caregiving experience, possess a high school diploma, and be willing to obtain relevant certifications such as First Aid/CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention. Successful candidates must also be able to lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least 1 year of professional or personal experience in caregiving
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a California Driver’s License
- Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check
