Job Summary
Assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living needs, including dietary care, hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Redirect challenging behaviors through activities and facilitate community integration by transporting participants or arranging outings. Provide instruction and support based on Individual Instruction and Support Plans while ensuring medication supervision and health monitoring. Maintain professional relationships with families and staff, complete required documentation including incident reports and shift notes, and attend mandatory training. Transport clients in your own vehicle with a valid license and insurance. Enroll in and complete the Nurse Delegation study course within 30 days of employment to become a Nurse Assistant Registered.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to provide current car insurance
- Must be able to read, write and understand documents in English
- Must enroll and complete Nurse Delegation study course and take the test within 30 days of employment
- Must be familiar with the Residential Service Guidelines issued by the Developmental Disabilities Administration
- Must be willing to transport clients in their own vehicle
