Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with day-to-day activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, transportation, and social activities. Responsibilities include providing transportation and supervision, ensuring safety in transport (tie downs, seat belts), housekeeping, meal preparation per Individual Healthcare plans, providing personal care, documenting in Therap and other systems, tracking progress toward ISP goals, conducting evacuation drills, planning person-centered outings, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and adhering to agency, state, and federal policies. Requires high attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time-management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work in a high-paced environment. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and have a valid driver’s license; CPR/FA certification is required.
