Job Summary
Direct Support Professional provides essential services to individuals supported by Karis Disability Services, helping with daily living activities and promoting belonging. Works with families, advocates, and community partners, and completes administrative duties as required. Supports person-centered plans, fosters community inclusion, and upholds the organization’s core values while maintaining flexible part-time schedules across multiple locations. Requires at least 6 months of experience and a valid G license with auto insurance; post-secondary education in a related field or related credential is preferred. Location-focused on Oshawa, Ontario with on-site work.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience (minimum)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
- Full G license and personal automobile insurance
- Part-time 28 hours per week with every other weekend and afternoon shifts
