Job Summary
Plan and facilitate community integration activities, including visits to parks, museums, and recreational centers, while providing personalized support for hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Accompany individuals to appointments and errands, assist with medical care such as medication administration, and offer training in life skills to foster independence. Maintain accurate documentation of progress notes, medical records, and activity logs. Work flexible hours based on client needs in an inclusive environment supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Current auto insurance
- Dependable vehicle
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Capacity to provide hands-on assistance during restroom routines, including transfers and hygiene support
- Physical stamina to actively engage in community outings and recreational activities with clients
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle and assist individuals in and out of the car as needed
- Background check with no issues
Desired Qualifications
- Some understanding or experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
