Job Summary
Provide direct support and positive direction in daily living skills to individuals served, including nutrition, shopping, laundry, personal hygiene, and community integration. Assist individuals to follow physician orders regarding diets, repositioning, and range of motion while maintaining and submitting all required daily documentation. Offer incidental transportation to appointments and day programming using a privately owned or agency vehicle within the Clinton region, adapting to various weather conditions. Communicate regularly with supervisors and stakeholders regarding individual progress and concerns. This role supports skill building to increase independence for those needing up to 24 hours of support daily, with paid training provided for entry-level candidates.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Minimum Education of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance
- Basic Computer Skills
- Night and Weekend Availability
- Ability to perform tasks to include standing, walking, running, listening and smelling
- Must have full range of body motion, including handling and lifting individuals served
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is preferred but not required and paid training is provided
