Job Summary
Direct Support Professional at Sevita/ResCare California provides essential, person-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping participants grow independence and participate in home and community activities. Responsibilities include supporting participants with personal hygiene, assisting with budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and everyday tasks, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring safety and well-being. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet driving-history requirements; shift includes Tue-Fri mornings and Sat daytime. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and ability to verify at least one year of driving history
- Motor vehicle record or documentation if license issued within last year demonstrating continuous licensure for at least one year
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
