Job Summary
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in skill development across independent living, adaptive behaviors, socialization, recreation, and activities of daily living. Supervise consumers in the community while reinforcing group session skills and ensuring safety. Lead group sessions to facilitate discussions that build community-use skills. Assess needs of lower functioning or non-verbal consumers through observations to develop valued outcomes. Provide annual and semi-annual progress reports and weekly documentation of outcomes aligned with the Day Habilitation Plan. Ensure compliance with the ISP and Day Habilitation Plan.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- One year's experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons
- AMAP certification
- SCIP-R certification
- CPR & First Aid certification
