Job Summary
Meet with adults and children with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness one-on-one for two to four hours daily. Provide support, assistance, and instruction in independent living skills including money management, socialization, cooking, and personal hygiene. Sessions occur in homes or community settings between 10 am and 6 pm, with flexible daytime to evening hours ranging from 10 to 30+ weeks depending on caseload. Maintain documentation using computer skills and pass background checks covering Dependent Adult, Child Abuse, Sex Offender, and criminal history registries. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Good driving record
- Ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check
