Job Summary
Conduct 1:1 direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with health, hygiene, and independent living tasks per their Person-Centered Service Plan. Foster community engagement through shopping, social events, and appointments while providing safe transportation using a personal vehicle meeting Arkansas insurance requirements. Maintain consumer expense records, document progress, and submit weekly timesheets. Participate in annual service planning meetings and complete required training including CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving. Work weekends from 8 PM to 8 AM in a group home setting, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Age Requirement: 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency
- two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid Arkansas driver's license
- proof of auto liability insurance
- Background Check
- Drug Screening
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and kneel as needed
- Lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently
- Lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to drive in various weather conditions
- Must meet AR state insurance requirements
