Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to promote independence and dignity. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing), following individualized care plans and documenting progress, administering medications per policy, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, using approved behavior support techniques, and encouraging community engagement. The role may involve travel between Residential and Day programs; weekend shift (Sat-Sun 7a-11p) in Silver Spring, MD. Requires high school diploma or GED; experience in disability services is preferred but not required. Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
