Job Summary
Provide daily personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene while ensuring safety during waking and sleeping hours. Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, household chores, and medication administration according to the Individual Support Plan. Support community involvement by coordinating outings, trips, and events, preparing necessary items and funds in advance. Document all activities, behaviors, and medical concerns in daily notes, the communication log, and the Medication Administration Record. Report medical or behavioral issues to the residential manager and house staff immediately. Maintain familiarity with agency policies and attend required training and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee, Kentucky, or Alabama driver's license (military exceptions available)
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing
- Satisfactory criminal background check and clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to attend and pass all required training courses
- TB test within the last 12 months (if you do not have one, we will send you to get one upon hire)
- Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
