Job Summary
Provide 1:1 or 1:2 support to individuals in homes or the community, focusing on independent living skills, mental health management, and community integration. Teach coping strategies, medication management, and public transportation use while facilitating socialization and recreational activities. Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and pet care. Record arrival and departure times via Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and follow universal precautions. Meet bi-weekly with a supervisor to discuss schedules and client issues. Requires a valid Minnesota driver's license, reliable vehicle, and full auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota drivers license

- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Pass a DHS background study
- Maintaining high level of clients confidentiality
- Adhering to all HIPPA regulations
- Willing to work in various environments which may include household pets, smoking, untidy living areas, children
- Can work well with a diverse population, including people with low-income, who struggle with substance abuse, criminal backgrounds, and people with developmental, mental and physical disabilities
- Record arrival and departure for every client visit via Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in English language
- Must be trustworthy, reliable, and willing to work entire shifts fulfilling all obligations
- Interpersonal skills: sensitivity and compassion towards clients
- Must be willing to work in various environments which may include household pets, smoking, untidy living areas, children
