Job Summary
Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health, or substance use challenges. Responsibilities include advocating for human rights, promoting health and safety, empowering self-advocacy, facilitating community engagement, teaching independent living skills, providing transportation, maintaining accurate service records, connecting individuals with community resources for career development and education, and ensuring confidentiality. Requires compassionate, patient interaction, strong communication, adaptability to individual needs, and ability to perform tasks like personal care and basic household chores. Position emphasizes supporting living arrangements, employment goals, social activities, and community integration; CPR proficiency and ASL fluency are noted for specific programs. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
