Job Summary
Provide direct services to individuals with disabilities, including personal care, medication administration, and transportation, while proactively addressing challenging behaviors using crisis intervention protocols. Plan and implement monthly activities according to the person-centered plan with client input, and maintain strict confidentiality for all client information. Communicate regularly with the Program Supervisor to report concerns and submit weekly schedules and necessary documentation for compliance with state and federal regulations. Develop respectful relationships based on mutual trust and professional boundaries, encouraging client autonomy and growth in daily living and employment skills. Maintain competency through continued learning, staff meetings, and trainings, ensuring a safe environment that reduces risk of harm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable Transportation
- Valid Insurance coverage on personal vehicle
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong desire to work with individuals with disabilities
- Able to demonstrate the appropriate skills to pass all required training
- Able to pass all background checks and drug test
- Retain a working cell phone for emergencies
