Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions to work in staffed residential homes providing care, safety, and supervision of individuals served. Requires experience with adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, completion of required DDID training including first aid/CPR, ability to follow written and oral instructions, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one personal care, implementing behavior plans, documenting progress notes, and transporting participants as needed; maintain confidentiality and dignity of participants; perform duties in an indoor, supervised residential setting with non-exempt status and 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have at least one year of experience working with adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities
- Must complete all required training as outlined by DDID regulations, including first aid and CPR certification
- Must be able to read, understand and implement written and oral instructions
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of auto insurance
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
