Job Summary
Provide hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living skills, including communication, personal care, household management, and community outings, per their individualized plan of service. Deliver training opportunities designed to enhance self-sufficiency in independent living while promoting agency mission and values. Ensure all activities follow safety considerations and align with the individual's growth and thriving needs within a safe, supportive home environment. Requires 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Schedule includes evenings, night shifts, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years old
- HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/and or experience preferred
- If driving is required, reliable means of transportation, NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
