Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a critical role in ensuring individuals with cognitive disorders and other needs receive consistent care according to their individualized plans. Responsibilities include overseeing daily living skills, managing transportation, administering medication, and communicating with the management team about individual performance. Required certifications include DDS Med Certification, CPR, and PMT. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be at least 18 years old.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License
- DDS Med Certification (within first 6 months of employment)
- CPR certification
- PMT certification
- Human Rights and Neglect training
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in direct support or human services
- Knowledge of Intellectual Developmental Disabilities
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to successfully demonstrate and use smartphone, tablets, and computers
- Physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
