Job Summary
Maintain the residential household by coordinating shopping, preparing meals, and reporting housing issues to management. Drive clients safely to and from activities while assisting with personal hygiene, medication administration, and implementing established behavior plans. Write clear progress notes, advocate for client self-expression, and actively guide recreational activities that encourage personal growth. Manage a safe environment in group homes under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, ensuring ongoing implementation of ISP outcomes. Cooperate with licensee and department staff during inspections and inquiries. Complete all required NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities training and background checks before working with clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possesses a full valid New Jersey Driver's License Non-Probationary with no restrictions
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to successfully complete all NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities mandated training within the required time frame
- The requirements for checks of Criminal Background, the Central Registry, the Child Abuse Registry, and Drug Testing must be completed prior to working with any clients in the Day Program or Residential Program
- Must be able to lift and/or move over 50 pounds unassisted
- Proven professional written and verbal communication skills
- Adequate computer skills and problem-solving skills
