Job Summary
Direct Support Professional – Residential provides training and assistance to individuals to develop independent living skills and personal care, supervises residents, conducts documentation, coordinates transportation, administers medications, and participates in care planning within a residential program in Oxford and Greene, NY. The role emphasizes helping individuals build independence, life skills, and community integration in a team-focused environment, with travel between work locations as needed and standard full-time scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- At Minimum High School diploma or GED
- Possess a valid NY State driver’s license acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
- Must physically be able to perform required certifications and lift fifty (50) pounds
- Some knowledge of or experience working with developmentally disabled preferred
