Job Summary
Deliver training, support, and assistance to participants in personal care, recreation, daily living skills, social skills, health needs, and behavior management. Accurately administer prescribed medications, prepare meals following published menus, and provide transportation to community activities. Participate in designing, implementing, and monitoring individualized support plans while ensuring participant health and safety through CPR, first aid, and evacuation procedures. Complete required documentation including program data, incident reports, daily logs, and progress notes. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 11am in Colchester, CT. Valid driver's license, high school diploma, and basic computer aptitude required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Applicants must possess basic computer aptitude
- Applicants must be able to speak/write in English
- Must have the ability to mentor and assist people in all areas of life skills including recreation, independence, communication, and health
- Must be able to perform CPR
- Must be able to perform Standard First Aid
- Must be able to perform Heimlich procedure
- Must be able to evacuate participants in case of a fire
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with people who have developmental and physical disabilities
