Job Summary
Teach skills to promote independence and support community inclusion for individuals with disabilities. Provide guidance in daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility assistance using transfer techniques. Mentor clients to build social skills and relationships while monitoring health and safety objectives. Document activities in the electronic health record and submit payroll data by scheduled deadlines. Administer medications and provide transportation to designated sites as needed. Complete initial and ongoing training, including required First Aid/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of two consecutive years
- Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check
- Pass driving record check if providing transportation
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
