Job Summary
Part-Time Direct Support Professionals are responsible for providing person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring their daily routines are supported effectively. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health needs, driving individuals to appointments, and maintaining accurate program documentation. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate interpersonal and time management skills. Training is provided, and a sign-on bonus is available for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
Additional Requirements
- Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
