Job Summary
Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living skills, personal hygiene, medication administration, and community involvement. Implement individual support plans, facilitate social interactions, and ensure safety while responding to medical or behavioral emergencies. Maintain accurate documentation, manage finances ethically, and adhere to all agency policies, state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines. Work flexible overnight shifts (Thursday through Saturday, 9:45pm–7:15am) and be available for on-call relief. Must possess a valid driver's license, pass background and drug screenings, and hold CPR and Safety-Care certification.
Required Qualifications
- Eligibility for hire dependent upon drug and background screening results
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic fluency in oral and written English
- Has computer experience and is comfortable with navigation with technology
- Pass qualifying criminal background checks which includes motor vehicle driving records
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Upon hire, employees are subject to random and reasonable suspicion testing per Sesdac, Inc.'s Drug Free Workplace Policy
- A valid driver's license and evidence of insurability is required upon hire
- Must have a safe driving record and be eligible for coverage under the agency's insurance
- Must be able to pass Medication training and testing
- Must have the ability to perform CPR and Safety-Care
