Job Summary
Overnight Direct Support Professional role supports adults with developmental disabilities in their daily living needs, including care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and behavior redirection. Responsibilities include implementing the Individual Instruction and Support Plan (IISP), ensuring personal hygiene, nutrition, medication monitoring, transportation logistics, community outings, maintaining a safe and respectful environment, documenting shift notes and progress, attending required trainings, and pursuing Nurse Assistant Registered (NAR) status with Nurse Delegation study. The role emphasizes dignity and rights, collaboration with families and other providers, and active participation in meetings and program planning. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $20.50 with retention bonuses up to $2,000 over the first two years, plus comprehensive benefits and scheduling that includes overnight shifts (Mon-Thurs 10:45pm–7:00am; Fri-Sun 7:00pm–7:00am). Remote work is not available; position is in Spokane, WA. Preference for individuals with prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and willingness to transport clients in their own vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid in-state driver’s license and be able to provide current car insurance
- Must enroll and complete Nurse Delegation study course and take the test within 30 days of employment
- Able to read, write and understand documents in English
- Background check with conditional offer and related job conviction review
