Job Summary
Implement individuals' plans and goals while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Support and teach skills development, socialization, and task participation across program and community settings. Promote community inclusion by modeling interactions with neighbors, co-workers, and peers. Transport individuals or assist with public transportation and participate in recreational outings. Document medical, behavioral, and safety data accurately and complete written reports on time. Safeguard confidentiality, report incidents immediately, and maintain equipment and supplies. Clean thoroughly to meet program standards and ensure safety. Maintain certifications in AMAP, CPR/First Aid, and SCIP. Provide appropriate supervision for staff and individuals.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
- One year or more experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid NYS driver's license
