Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a residential OMH setting provides hands-on assistance, instruction, and support to individuals with mental health needs to promote independence, safety, and community integration. Responsibilities include promoting health and well-being, advocating for individuals to express wants/needs, assisting with light housekeeping, helping plan nutritious meals, and administering medications as needed. The role requires flexibility to work days/evenings and weekends/holidays, and participation in trainings to enhance skills. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a New York State driver’s license per agency policy; pay starts at $16.96 per hour. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with equal opportunity employment.
