Job Summary
Direct Support Professional role supporting New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs; responsibilities include providing hands-on personal care, daily living support, health and wellness assistance (including administration of medications as directed), mobility and accessibility support, behavioral and emotional support, community and social engagement, communication and advocacy, collaboration with healthcare providers, and meticulous documentation of daily notes and progress reports in electronic systems. Requires a High School diploma or equivalency; valid NY driver’s license preferred for driving positions; experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is preferred. Compensation is hourly and benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, holidays, and wellness programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency (required)
- Fluent in English for client communication
- A valid New York State Driver's License with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions)
