Job Summary
Direct Support Professional for Day Program Support to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in reaching individual goals. Responsibilities include providing instruction in activities of daily living, transporting to and from community resources and events, teaching new skills, and assisting with personal care needs while participants attend the Life Skills Day Program. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with individuals supported. Requires problem solving, time management, and organizational abilities. Typical work involves dedicated, mission-driven service in a nonprofit setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification
- Drug Test required
- Background report and driving record required
- TB test required
