Job Summary
Provide assistance and strategies to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to support their independent living. Conduct daily support for transportation and community outings, including medical appointments and shopping. Assist with daily living skills such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene. Offer guidance on developmental goals covering community participation, budgeting, exercise, and vocational responsibilities. Redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors as needed. Work within community settings alongside clinical staff to implement therapeutic and behavioral plans.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Successful clearance of background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
