Job Summary
Direct Support Professional provides hands-on care, daily living assistance, personal care, health and wellness support, mobility assistance, behavioral and emotional support, and community engagement for individuals with developmental disabilities in Medford, NY. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, household chores, administering medications as directed, scheduling and attending medical appointments, ensuring safe navigation of environments, documenting daily notes and reports, collaborating with healthcare providers, therapists, and other team members, and advocating for the needs and rights of individuals. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalency, fluent English, and a New York State driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience; driving positions may require comfort operating a large vehicle. Prior experience with adults who have intellectual/developmental or behavioral health disabilities is preferred.
Required Qualifications
