Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) needed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, medication administration, transportation to appointments, and behavioral support. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, cooking, housekeeping, and laundry; promoting independence, community involvement, and dignity; and providing a safe, respectful environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED or 2 years of work experience, a valid NYS driver’s license for two years with an acceptable driving record, and ability to safely lift and assist up to 70 lbs. Compensation starts at $17/hour, with $17.50/hour when holding a BA or 3 years of experience, and up to $20/hour at differential locations, plus a $0.75/hour training increase.
