Job Summary
Support individuals in developing essential life skills ranging from health and hygiene to independent living tasks while fostering a respectful environment at home and in the community. Assist with daily routines outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan and help individuals engage with the community through activities like shopping, social events, and appointments. Provide safe transportation using your personal vehicle and maintain records of consumer expenses and progress. Offer input during annual service planning meetings and complete required training including CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving. Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time. This safety-sensitive role requires lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and driving in various weather conditions within a female group home setting in Little Rock.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency
- two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid Arkansas driver's license
- proof of auto liability insurance
- Background Check
- Drug Screening
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and kneel as needed
- Lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently
- Lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Must meet AR state insurance requirements
- Must be available for Mon- Thurs 11:00 PM -8:00 AM
- Must be able to provide safe and reliable transportation
- Must be able to submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time
- Must complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service sessions
