Job Summary
Support individuals with developmental disabilities in developing essential life skills, including health, hygiene, and independent living tasks. Foster a positive environment at home and in the community by assisting with daily routines outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan. Help individuals engage with the community through activities like shopping, social events, and appointments while providing safe transportation using your personal vehicle. Maintain records of consumer expenses, document progress, and offer input during annual service planning meetings. Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time and complete required training in CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency
- two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid Arkansas driver's license
- proof of auto liability insurance
- Background Check
- Drug Screening
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and kneel as needed
- Lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently
- Lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to drive in various weather conditions
- Must meet AR state insurance requirements
