Job Summary
Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities at an Adult Activity Center. Responsibilities include one-on-one and group support, helping participants develop vocational and life skills, promoting social inclusion, monitoring safety and quality of work, and maintaining progress documentation. Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, ability to pass background/drug screening, CPR/First Aid and DODD certifications (post-hire), and ability to lift 50 pounds. Work hours are 11:15 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the agency’s insurance company
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to arrive at work on time
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid and DODD certifications (can be done after hire)
- Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds
