Job Summary
Provide personal support in residents' homes and supervise/train adults with developmental disabilities. Implement individualized plans and ensure activities are carried out for the person served, both in the home and in the community. Teach and guide individuals to do as much as possible for themselves, following program goals. Maintain safety, assist with daily living tasks (mobility, hygiene, budgeting, house chores), monitor health procedures (CPR, vital signs, medications with PMOF/MAR), and complete records and reports. Transport clients to appointments and activities, communicate with program staff, and collaborate with team to support independent living and progress toward goals. Maintain a positive, respectful environment and adhere to agency policies; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Attends staff training and works with families and community professionals as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to lift, pull, and push adequate weight (may be more than 50 pounds)
