Job Summary
Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities by assisting with daily activities, transportation, social engagement, and household tasks like meal preparation and laundry. Promote independence, personal choice, and community involvement while encouraging decision-making, self-advocacy, and skill development. Assist with health, safety, and wellness goals, including personal care needs, while following emergency protocols and agency policies. Complete required documentation electronically, recording service hours and mileage accurately. Maintain a valid driver's license and use a personal vehicle for transport. Work per diem with flexible scheduling and mobile internet access for timekeeping.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Must be willing and able to use a personal vehicle to transport individuals when needed
- Mobile internet access
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
