Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one support for a young man with intellectual and developmental disabilities at The Bhatia Family Village in the Pico-Robertson area. Engage, guide, and inspire the individual to increase community involvement, grow his social network, and develop opportunities while fostering a fun, likeable, and genuine connection. Provide daily assistance during weekday daytime hours, ensuring the client achieves his greatest potential and goals within the Jewish community. Maintain a clean driving record and possess a licensed vehicle for all transportation needs.
Required Qualifications
- some professional or personal experience supporting individuals with special needs
- strong knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions
- at least 21 years of age
- licensed driver for a minimum of three years with a clean driving record
- own insured vehicle (with your name listed on proof of insurance as an authorized driver)
- male staff
- engaging, friendly, interactive, genuine, positive, and reliable
- fun, likeable - even unique - personality
- interested in and involved with the Jewish community and culture
- Live Scan (DOJ / FBI) background check
