Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (Independent Contractor) in Charlotte, NC provides companionship, care, and support to an adult with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include in-home instruction and assistance, facilitating community integration, helping identify valued social roles, transporting to day programs/work sites, monitoring dosages, and dispensing medications. Schedule is flexible with 34 hours/week across Respite (17/hour) and CLS (20.35/hour). Must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and pass a drug screen and background check; 1–2 years of I/DD experience preferred. Independent Contractor arrangement with 1099 and vendor-managed deposits; includes training and potential additional fees for state-required training and administrative costs.
