Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (KA)

Provide companionship, care, and support to a male individual with developmental disabilities in his home and community. Responsibilities include instruction in home living, helping identify and acquire valued social roles, facilitating community integration, aiding development of healthy social habits, dispensing medications and monitoring dosages, and transporting to day programs, work sites, and community activities. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and successful completion of a drug screen and background check. 1–2 years of experience with the I/DD population is preferred. Independent Contractor position (1099) with a third-party contract-management vendor; additional fees may apply for state-required training and insurance. Schedule is 21 hours/week in Charlotte, NC (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 9:30a–4:30p). Pay rate is $20.35/hr.
