Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (AT)

DSP for a male individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte area (ZIP 28078). 28 hours per week with a schedule that includes Mon 8a-6p, Wed and Fri 8a-5p. Responsibilities include instruction and assistance in home living environments, helping identify valued social roles, facilitating community integration, developing healthy social habits, dispensing medication and monitoring dosages, and transporting the individual to day programs, work sites, and community activities. Requires a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver’s license, and successful completion of a drug screen and background check. This is an Independent Contractor position (1099) with related vendor and training fees; prior experience with the I/DD population (1-2 years) preferred.
