Direct Support Professional - In Home

Direct Support Professional (DSP) for In-Home Care in the New River Valley, VA. Part-time (Saturdays and Sundays) role assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with domestic tasks (laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, organizing), transportation, advocacy for medical/dental appointments, personal care, and medication administration. Requires accurate note-taking for continuity of care, active driver’s license with a clean driving record (3 years driving experience; no more than 2 moving violations or accidents in 3 years; no major violations in 5 years). Must be able to support volunteers and engage individuals in meaningful activities; mandated reporter for abuse/neglect; EOE/Drug-Free Workplace. Hiring contingent on references and criminal background check; driving record must meet specified guidelines.
