Direct Support Professional

Provide direct care and specialized support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting, assisting with daily activities like meal preparation, medication administration, and transportation to work or community outings. Promote independence by engaging individuals in home and community activities based on their preferences, while participating in the development of Individual Support Plans and Behavior Support Plans. Ensure safety by observing and reporting changes in behaviors or physical conditions, maintaining effective communication with administration, and performing household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and housekeeping. Document required paperwork each shift including observation notes and goals. Adhere to company policies and attend mandatory staff training and meetings.
