Job Summary
Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, and ambulation while monitoring medical needs and managing behavior through prevention or deescalation. Implement Individual Service and Behavior Support Plans, encourage self-help activities, and transport individuals to community events or medical appointments. Maintain accurate daily documentation of activities, medications, goals, and safety drills. Requires DSP certification or six months of I/DD behavioral health experience, a valid driver's license, and a background check. Salary range is $15.00 - $17.00 per hour with flexible schedules and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- Pass background check
- Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance
- High school diploma/GED
- Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities
