Job Summary
Direct Support Professional I in a Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) setting (Corning, IA) to support individuals facing functional, cognitive, or health needs. Responsibilities include collaborating with supervisors and programmers to develop and execute behavioral care plans, teaching individuals to achieve goals, employing behavioral strategies to address challenging behaviors, motivating participation in plans, facilitating recreational and community activities, ensuring rights-respecting supports, documenting progress accurately, maintaining safe environments, aiding with hygienic needs and daily living tasks, and advocating for individuals to exercise choice and independence. The role is full-time with weekend shifts (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays 8:00 AM–8:00 PM) and includes comprehensive benefits; entry-level training is provided. Qualifications emphasize mission orientation, adaptability, effective communication, and a diploma or equivalent within a caregiving context; must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
