Job Summary
Provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living skills, personal care, and activities of daily living. Accompany individuals on community outings, recreational activities, and educational experiences to build social connections and encourage active participation. Plan and facilitate engaging life-skills activities while adapting to each person's interests and abilities. Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and supervisors, and maintain accurate electronic documentation using company-provided technology. Follow individualized service plans and company procedures to promote a safe, respectful environment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two years of relevant work or life experience
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation with current auto insurance
- Ability to travel within the community
- Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and drug screening
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, caregivers, supervisors, and other members of the support team
- Ability to follow individualized service plans and company procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using company-provided technology
- Ability to promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment
