Job Summary
Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration, vital signs, and medical appointments. Support nutrition and mealtime activities, maintain a safe and clean residential environment, and promote individual development through skill-building, recreation, and transportation. Encourage positive interpersonal relationships, communication skills, and leisure activities while observing, documenting, and reporting progress. Apply approved behavior management techniques and respond appropriately to emergencies. Work under clinical supervision in a residential setting, with Friday-Saturday shifts from 3pm to 11:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certificate from an accredited public or private organization
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Residential setting (onsite)
- Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities
