Job Summary
Direct Support Professional needed to help individuals overcome challenges by providing personal care, transportation, and participation in community activities. Responsibilities include encouraging positive relationship building, promoting independence, medication administration/health monitoring, cooking/meals, and supporting activities of daily living. Requires engaging with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or mental health needs, willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Second shift, part-time role located in Holland, MI; staffing emphasizes care, training, and a supportive environment with benefits such as educational reimbursement and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or mental health needs
- Preference for experience providing intensive behavioral support
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Valid State of Michigan driver’s license preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to pass background checks as applicable
- Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
- Possess basic computer skills
