Job Summary
Teach and assist individuals with daily living skills including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and household chores. Support independent living plans, manage money and community activities, and monitor health, behavior, and medication adherence per physician orders. Transport individuals to medical appointments, errands, and recreational events in agency vehicles while conducting required safety drills. Complete all shift duties, documentation, and ongoing training to meet federal and state regulatory standards. Maintain a professional demeanor with active listening and clear communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid Nevada Driver License or (Nevada ID work in SLA)
- Clean DMV history, and insurable to drive agency vehicles
- Ability to work Saturday and Sunday
- Must have a 'Negative' pre-employment drug screen result
- Basic Math Skills
- Read, write and understand English
- Clean Criminal Background
- Current CPR and First Aid Card
- Proof of unexpired auto insurance and registration
- Must be physically able to perform CPR and/or First Aid
- Must be able to exert force between 10 and 100lbs
- Agility to work in a residential setting
- Must be able to assist with Bed to floor/wheelchair
- Must be able to move Floor/wheelchair to bed
- Must be able to move In and out of shower/bath
- Must be able to move Into and out of vehicles
- Must be able to assist in bathing and showering
- Must be able to change adult depends
- Must be able to perform Housecleaning duties, e.g., laundry, vacuuming, cleaning showers, tubs, dishes, taking out garbage
- Must be able to prepare meals
- Must be able to push/pulling e.g. wheelchairs
- Must be able to carry groceries from vehicle to house
- Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, stand, sit, and walk
